There is a little test game that is quite nice included with te download, complete with voices for the characters. There is some really great detail. I'm very happy with it and will definitely make use of some of this for sure.Great Job.I can see some very cool Mars games, or alien world, or just really cool sci fi games coming out of this pack.. Wow! This actually is a really nice pack. This pack is like the OLD packs they used to release for FPSC that actually would make me excited ti get. LOTS and lots of models all decent. Buy this pack if you can get on sale all the better.. This dlc is the best. I was looking for something space like. Thank you guys for this. Hopefully you will get done with that save\/load soon lee. Amazing dlc and amazing software. 10\/10When i went to go open up gameguru there was a WHOLE bunch of stuff. Walls, space like hallways, npc's, alien in a glass container, space rocks, and etc! This is one of the best packs i have bought and since i bought this one im going to get another one. Very happy about this purchase. Nice kit guys!!!! Wish it had two other things though, - spacey weapons (might have to try the Bunny wabbit's waser) and a - general wall 'clip' piece to use to cover gaps when joining two warehouses for example.Awesome work though, thanks!!!. The Sci-Fi Mission to Mars Pack DLC is purely a Sci-Fi pack (with a small handful of assets that could be used in other settings). What comes as a surprise with this pact is the number of extra scripts included, but you do need to be just a little bit familiar with the most commonly used scripts to make full use of them as some don't appear attatched to the logical object (eg door). The AI have all been assigned as "Neutral AI" so they are harmless, but if you are new to GameGuru you may not realise that you need to change their script in their properties tab to change the ways they behave. For a Sci-Fi setting, inside or out, there are a good number of assets, and they are all good quality and useful. The decals are almost entirely monitor-screens or wall decals "zone 1, zone 2.etc". Handy enough. The Characters are compatible with GameGuru's character editor and that is a very welcome feature .... but there are no new weapons for them. This unarmed state might be a deliberate move, and it is no problem use the characters via the build in character creator and arm them however you choose and it does showcase some character animataions and hints that you can make other things than shooters with GameGuru.Obviously you could use the rocks and a few other scenery items in other projects but the main point of the Sci-Fi mission to mars pack is that it is focussed purely on Sci-Fi s and three skyboxes are included, one particularly red and mars-themed. So for a purely Sci-Fi map you have a most of the elements you could need here. The interior sections are good, and everything snaps together well. At the click of a button you could change the terrain to snow, paint GameGuru rock on it, or a custom terrain texture of your own (which is simple to do) and only one of the mars skyboxes is red, so you really could create any sort of planetary landscape with this.If you combined it with some pieces of the excellent Death Valley DLC and\/or some of the very good free community made sci-fi entities and skyboxes you could get very creative with this pack. One small scenery model caused the level to lag badly when the player approached in test mode, but this is probably because it was placed upside-down by the map creator who probably never expected anybody to try walking over it (Rover1 model) but didn't detract from the overall quality of the pack which is very good all round. If you buy this pack, I really do recommend that the first thing you do is load up the sample map supplied and walk through it in test mode, it'll give you a great insight into how fog, lighting and sounds can add a great atmosphere very easily and quickly and how some very basic scripts can liven up the place. It'll be five minutes very well spent.. The pictures seem to indicate that you can make quests using this software. You can't.Unfortunately, Game Guru does NOT have funtional AI, a questing system, a dialogue system, or mutliplayer funtionality. The good. This adds some nice assets which you can use in other games. The bad...This product can not really do what is advertised which is to say, make a sci fi game, even an extremely limited one. I spent hundreds of hours modding Morrowind and while I didn't expect Game Guru to be nearly as good as the Morrowind contruction set (which was released 15 years ago) I did at least think I would have basic options like the ability to create characters who could communicate with the player or walk on a flat surface. Unfortunately this pack doesn't include that functionality unless you can code it yourself or find someone else who has.I hope that a dialogue and questing system will be added as standard. If and when that happens, I would recommend this package but not before.. Excellent models, very well made and cleanly modeled. They scream for a better lightmapping system. I advise anyone with even a fleeting interest in making futuristic game to download them for their collection.. Wow! This actually is a really nice pack. This pack is like the OLD packs they used to release for FPSC that actually would make me excited ti get. LOTS and lots of models all decent. Buy this pack if you can get on sale all the better.. Well worth the price. I bought it for the characters, scripts, and a couple of other items. I will never use most of this pack, and still, it's worth it. Grab it on sale and make it even more worth it. Either way, you can't lose with this if you need some sci-fi assets fast.
